Vijay Agarwal, MD

Vijay is the founder and CEO of Alpheus, leading the company’s mission to redefine the treatment of glioblastoma. A neurosurgeon by training, Vijay has deep clinical and scientific insight into the realities of treating aggressive brain tumors and a passion for advancing therapies that improve both survival and quality of life.

He brings over 20 years of experience across neurosurgery, biomedical innovation, and executive leadership. Vijay earned his B.S. in Electrical & Biomedical Engineering from UCLA and his M.D. from Chicago Medical School. He completed his neurosurgical training at Duke University and completed fellowships at Mayo Clinic, Emory University and the University of New South Wales.

He is driven by a simple purpose: to bring hope to patients and families facing the most challenging diagnoses in medicine.
